Students in the Spotlight - Qin Wang

October 16, 2020 by School of Cities Staff

"Students in the Spotlight" is a conversation series with members of the SofC Student Academy and Urban Leadership Fellowship program.

Architecture student Qin Wang, a 2020 Student Academy member from the working group Global Urbanism, was fascinated by the relationship between, and the interaction of, heterogeneous urban elements that come together to form the final wholeness of a city. In this Q&A with SofC, Qin tells us how her experiences with the local community during a 2018 trip to Peru resulted in a research project "Understanding Urban Informality Through Urban Food System in Lima", which highlights how urban informality shapes food systems and how people access life sustenance in Lima, Peru.
