With over 100,000 cases of COVID-19 in Canada, government officials have had to acknowledge the disproportionate impact of the disease on racialized communities. In addition, many working Canadians are unable to work, such as performers and artists.
Professor Richard Florida met with Farah Nasser on The West Block to discuss how cities will change to become more equitable. He shares his view that this pandemic can be seen as an opportunity to encourage local arts and improve equality in the city.
