U of T's School of Cities faculty affiliate Shoshanna Saxe an assistant professor of civil and mineral engineering at the University of Toronto and Matti Siemiatycki interim director of the School of Cities and an associate professor of geography and planning, co-author an op-ed published in the New York Times

"The city has to be willing to walk away. Sidewalk is not the only entity interested in the Quayside land, even if it has some very shiny ideas to offer. But the city also has strong incentives to make the deal work. Managed properly, it could be a boon for Toronto’s future."
