A much-needed exercise in self-care, ‘5 Ways to Wellbeing Webinar Hour' with Chad Jankowski’ was organized under the SofC's 'Care in Community' initiative. It provided attendees with ways to cope and take stock of their wellbeing during these unprecedented times of physical distancing. Chad, who is the Mental Health Program Officer at the Faculty of Arts & Sciences, focused on the importance of learning and developing new interests and skills, connecting with others and sharing your feelings with them, staying emotionally and physically fit, being grateful, and giving back.
He engaged the participants in small group discussions and exercises, and shared ideas, strategies and tips on how to be present and in the moment. The SofC thanks Chad Jankowski for sharing and leading this timely intervention.
The School of Cities' 'Care in Community' strives to design and support interventions that promote community engagement and provide avenues for people to come together and connect through various activities. Led by Prof. Marieme Lo, Associate Director, Education, at SofC, the initiative involves students, faculty and staff across the three campuses of University of Toronto, creating interdisciplinary touch points for the various stakeholders.
