Reconciliation through Education and Understanding

The KAIROS Blanket Exercise™

On February 7, Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) students and faculty will participate in the KAIROS Blanket Exercise™ as part of the MLA program's response to U of T's Truth and Reconciliation Steering Committee's Final Report, Wecheehetowin.

The program is a unique, participatory history lesson – developed in collaboration with Indigenous Elders, knowledge keepers and educators – that fosters truth, understanding, respect and reconciliation among Indigenous and non-indigenous peoples. The exercise covers more than 500 years in a 90-minute experiential workshop that aims to foster understanding about our shared history as Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.
