When and Where
Description
The High School Conference is an opportunity for the BSA to encourage access to education in groups that are historically under-represented in post-secondary institutions. High school students are invited to the University of Toronto (St. George Campus) where they will be mentored by black professionals and current university and college students to help them realize that post-secondary education, whether it is college or university, is an attainable goal.
Who will be there?
Hundreds of students across the city from a range of different schools attend the High School Conference each year. Professionals from an array of different fields and successful individuals will be there to give an opportunity for the students to hear success stories and how to take the necessary steps to get to and through post secondary education.
- Participate in engaging workshops
- Gain student mentorship and advice
- Ten $1,000 scholarship are being awarded
