Description

What are cities for? How do they really work? What does our urban future hold?

The University of Toronto’s School of Cities, in partnership with Urban Land Institute (ULI) and Urban Strategies, invite you to join us for the launch of Perfect City.

This event will feature an author presentation followed by a panel discussion with international experts on the spirit of a perfect city.

Joe Berridge, one of the world's leading urban planners, takes us on an insider's tour of the world's largest and most diverse cities, to examine what is working and not working, what is promising and what needs to be fixed in the contemporary megalopolis.

Panelists:

Gail Dexter Lord, President and Co-Founder, Lord Cultural Resources
Josh Mitchell, Director of Real Estate, University of Toronto
Bill Nankivell, CEO, Principal, B+H Architects

Moderated by Prof. Shauna Brail, Associate Director, School of Cities, University of Toronto.

Copies of Perfect City: An Urban Fixer's Global Search for Magic in the Modern Metropolis will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
