On November 21st, The School of Cities is hosting Kehilla Residential Programme’s event “Moving Modular Forward”, a design competition to explore housing designs that are modular, affordable, scalable and portable. The purpose of this design competition is to demonstrate to the real estate development community and all three levels of government that modular housing has the potential to be an immediately implementable solution for affordable housing. The competition will culminate in an awards ceremony and reception. The top three selected firms will present their designs to a jury of design and development luminaries who will select the winning design. The Moving Modular Forward event will start with a reception with hors d’oeuvres, drinks and music, offering a great opportunity to network with real estate professionals, architects, designers, politicians and government officials. Tickets are available online.
