Currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Social Justice Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) in the University of Toronto, Janelle Brady was recently recognized by U of T with the International Day for the End of Racial Discrimination Award. Janelle works extensively with communities who's needs and priorities are sidelined due to underrepresentation and deeper systemic issues. The co-founder of Downsview Advocate shared with us her work and her insights into the impact of the pandemic on her activism.
